Yeah!!! I love the picture. I will faithfully reblog everything Threadgill-related that makes its way onto my dash. He’s so startlingly original.

It’s fantastic to see such a wonderful and influential classical music blog expose people to serious art music outside of the classical canon. Part of what makes this song a particularly interesting choice is that it uses timbre as its primary expressive tool, a tool which the jazz avant-garde has a long history of experimenting with.
